Violin

As part of our repertoire of classical Indian music we teach the beautiful instrument known as the Indian Violin. We have our multi talented teacher Dr Madhu Tanjorkar who teaches both Hindusthani (North Indian) and Carnatic (South Indian) styles of the Indian Violin on Thursdays in Bolton.

The Indian Violin is similar to the western violin however it is positioned and tuned differently. It can be accompanied with many other classical Indian instruments to produce many fantastic compositions.

When learning Violin with North West Asian Arts, you will have an opportunity to perform at our annual event as well as many other local and regional events to help provide you with important performing experience. You may perform solo or as part of a duet. You can also be accompanied by other musicians on instruments such as the Tabla or you may accompany other musicians or vocalists. All of which provide the foundations of becoming an accomplished Indian Violin artist.
